Purpose
A Public Health Nurse (RN) makes a home visit to provide a health assessment of the new Mom, weighing and assessing the baby, offering breastfeeding assistance, parenting tips, educational materials information about community resources and social support. The Public Health Nurse, also, provides assistance with appointments or referrals when needed.
Availability
These services are provided by appointment only Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm
Eligibility
Any pregnant or new Mom (infant is two months or younger) who is a resident of Stanly County.
